Guard Live Service Agreement

The service agreement for using the Guard Live remote video surveillance platform

2025/03/10

1. General Provisions

Star4Live is a remote video surveillance platform that enables registered users to access live footage and recordings from connected devices. The platform does not create content but facilitates access to surveillance data.

This is a valid Agreement between the User and the product provider regarding the registration and use of the Star4Live service. Users accept these terms by registering or using the service. The provider reserves the right to modify terms without notice, with updates published at star4live.com.

2. Rights and Obligations

Registration & Account Management

Users must provide accurate personal or organizational information, including username, password, and contact details. Account holders bear full responsibility for all activities conducted through their accounts. Users must keep credentials confidential and promptly report any unauthorized access.

The provider reserves the authority to temporarily freeze accounts if the registered user differs from the actual account user, with no responsibility for freezing the account.

Password Recovery

Lost password recovery relies on registered contact information. However, the provider cannot verify the legitimacy of recovery requests and accepts no liability for unauthorized account access through this process.

3. Service Regulations

Permitted Use

The service is restricted to non-commercial purposes only. Commercial use requires explicit written authorization from the provider.

User Conduct Requirements

Users must comply with applicable laws, network protocols, and regulations. Prohibited activities include:

  • Using the service for illegal purposes
  • Actions that disrupt internet operations
  • Cheating, unfair practices, or fraudulent behavior
  • Any activity that adversely affects the provider

Security & Upgrades

While the provider makes proper commercial efforts to protect the privacy and integrity of user data, no guarantees are provided. Users must accept mandatory software upgrades; using outdated versions is at the user's own risk.

Value-Added Services

The provider may modify pricing for paid services with advance notification. For previously free offerings, users will be given the option to accept or decline any pricing changes.

4. Intellectual Property

All service content — including text, images, software, audio, and video — belongs to the provider or authorized licensors and is copyright-protected. Users receive limited rights to access the service only. Reproduction, modification, decompilation, or commercial use are prohibited.

The provider reserves the authority to terminate service and pursue legal action for agreement violations.

5. Privacy Protection

The provider commits to protecting personal information and will not disclose data without consent, except:

  • When legally required
  • For academic or public interest purposes
  • For fraud prevention
  • To safeguard provider interests

Statistical data may be shared publicly and analyzed for commercial purposes without disclosing the user's private profile.

6. Disclaimer

Users assume all risks associated with service use. The provider offers no warranty of any kind for this service, implied or expressed, including stability, virus protection, or accuracy guarantees.

The provider disclaims responsibility for:

  • Third-party content
  • Linked websites
  • Service interruptions
  • Data transmission failures
  • Consequential damages regardless of whether caused by agreement breach or negligence

7. Service Interruption and Termination

The provider may interrupt service for maintenance without prior notice and bears no responsibility for resulting inconvenience or losses. Service termination is permissible for:

  • Maintenance operations
  • Server failures
  • Unexpected system faults
  • ISP failures
  • Emergencies or force majeure circumstances

8. Other Terms

Partial invalidity of any provision does not affect the validity of remaining terms.
